Stocks Rise as China Plans New Stimulus Measures

U.S. stocks opened higher Tuesday, after Beijing announced fresh stimulus measures to support the world’s second-largest economy.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 175 points, or 0.6%, to 26238 shortly after the opening bell. The S&P 500 added 0.7% and the Nasdaq Composite climbed 1%.
